if only everyone could know that zuko is a prodigy like his sister, unfortunately his special talent is called "breaking and entering" and he can't tell anyone about that
Among many other things i like about “
Yuukoku no Moriarty” is its version of Sherlock. He’s both similar to original character and different from other famous versions. His character in this particular story matches that first surprised me about original novels. Most interpretations significantly tone down how chaotic and definitely-not-always-ethical this man’s actions can be. And it was cool to find out that him being “perfect detective” and “example of how being smart is important and cool” is actually only half true. It’s not bad to show an incredibly intelligent man solving elaborate mysteries, but there’s fun in him being weird, acting on impulse and telling everyone he’s going to die of boredom. I just missed this side of him being portrayed so vividly. “ Yuukoku no Moriarty”
‘s Sherlock has three mad squirrels and a very concerned roommate(hi john) instead of a moral compass as he should; he’s a lil more emotional and active but still able to outsmart most people he meets; and with all these different qualities he just fits this particular story perfectly
and adds immense charm to it, cause each of his ‘bad’ traits contribute to plot development as much as ‘good’ ones.
i’m glad something in the “
Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru
“ anime was gripping enough for me to finish watching it, cause i started liking it way more in the last episodes
and it made me want to read the original manga, which turned out to be even more interesting in how it uses its visual style
something about this weird group of characters is just so cool in a unique way, cause they have this chill vibe like they’re just in a hobby group and not solving supernatural crimes - they’re weird on their own, but together they become almost boring, and it’s comforting and funny in a strange way
and maybe it’s also fascinating cause
for me
excessive use of jump scares and similar things in horrors makes them simply unwatchable, but this one uses different way more bearable approach to its horror elements? that’s part of it probably
discovering some stories is like thinking “who in their right mind would like pineapple pizza/mix salt with caramel/pickles with literally anything sweet etc ?!”
and then, after some time realizing that you - you actually would
soooo, it’s like 5 years after banana fish came out, and i still think it has some of the best fight scenes in this type of setting in anime
sure fighting with superpowers can be cool, but we should never forget about a good old knife fight
really it’s still so good, definitely worth the pain it brings while watching
I commissioned @littlestpersimmon to draw my favorite character ever, dustfinger from inkheart, and I have not stopped staring in actual awe since he finished it. my coworkers can vouch that I cried in public over seeing it for the first time lol.
How had i never heard anything about enstars until last week when it has enormous amount of VA s, wildest lore that is still consistent and coherent and it also has at least 2 weirdest idol group ideas ever (one is so weird it’s actually genius and the other i hate so passionately it’s impressive)
This game’s plot is truly impressive in how insane it is, you never know if the character introduced to you has a normal “oh, he just likes this job, and always tries his best!” backstory or “he is connected to several murders and a cult” type of backstory, and with all that the dialogues can still be relatable
And i only found it through listening to random songs on youtube
“Hoshi no Sumika” by Aobozu fits the ending chapters of Nabari no Ou
“watercolor is a medium that is truly alive!”
yes, but do i really need it to be?
